Week 2 of Monday night football featured a contest between the Bills and the Titans that quickly turned into a blood bath. Buffalo showed complete domination taking the victory 41-7.
The score shows a blowout, but I don’t think it even encompasses just how much of a beatdown this was. This game felt like it was 100-0 and it was like this the majority of the time.
Stephon Diggs was running circles around the Titans as he put up 148 yards and 3 touchdowns. Josh Allen had 317 yards and 4 touchdowns. They looked unstoppable. In addition to this, the Buffalo crowd was the best I have ever seen it. The energy is there, the fans are hungry and they know how incredible this team is. Buffalo has always had outstanding fans, but Monday night was something special.
With all of this being said, it poses the question of what it’s going to take to stop them. While it is early the Bills are the clear best team in the NFL right now.
I’m sure this will come back to bite me in a few weeks, but I don’t see how anyone can take this team down currently. They play in arrowhead against the chiefs on October 16th in a rematch of last season’s playoff game. I could see this being a potentially tight game, but I’m not sure the Chiefs can do it. Maybe if they get bailed out by the refs as much as they did against the chargers in week 2 the Bills lose, but that’s it.
For now, I think the Bills are unstoppable. The only thing against them currently is that it appears every “expert” picked them to win it all pre-season. If you know anything about football, you know it’s the kiss of death when the analyst unanimously pick a team.
There’s no reason this team shouldn’t play in the Superbowl.
