Thursday night saw a fantastic game in which Texas State hosted Arizona State. Thankfully this game was incredible and saved us from the massive disappointment that was Dolphins vs Chiefs on Thursday night football. The true college football diehards were rewarded for keeping their attention on San Marcos, Texas last night instead of in Miami.
Arizona State ended up winning this game 31-28 after multiple different endings as explained by Coach Dillingham below.
Following the loss many have now considered Texas State eliminated from contention for the 12 seed in the CFP. I’m here to tell the doubters to be quiet. Texas State is way too fun of a team to be eliminated this early.
The 12 seed in the CFP exist only for chaos and fun. The G5 team that will be selected to the CFP must be very good, but almost more importantly they must be fun. Texas State may be more fun than good, but until they get that 2nd loss of the season the committee should be forced to watch Texas State every week.
How can we say we don’t want this in the playoff after week 3???? You want Notre Dame over this??
I think how fun a team is should matter. Maybe it’s jsut me, but I wont be silent.
So my power 5 fun rankings as of now for the consideration of the committee
- Texas State
- Ashton Jeanty
- Tulane
- UNLV
- NIU
- Army
- Memphis
- Liberty
