Big Ten Tiers After Week 5

Week 5 of the College Football Season has officially ended and that means it’s time for a new set of Big Ten Tiers.

Chainsaw

Theres an argument to be made right now that 3 of the top 5 teams in the country are all in the Big Ten East right now. Baring a total disaster the round robin these three will play in the back stretch of the season will be some one of the more interesting story lines in football. All three of these teams can win a national title this year.

Lacrosse

The Maryland Lacrosse team has been the best team on campus for some time now, but the terapin football team is certainly making a push to change that. Despite a shockingly low attendance this weekend, the terps are a really good team this year. They have potential to pick off one of the Big 3 and would be near the top of plenty of other conferences. The AP not ranking them is a a joke.

Wait Rutgers Played Who And Won By How Much?

Yeah I know Wagner is really bad I get it. But as of now I like what I have seen from Rutgers and they aren’t playing like they are the bottom of the conference anymore. Would they beat Iowa and Wisconsin? Honestly I don’t even know with how things have played out so far. But, I do feel like they would have a decent change of beating most of the west. Theres a chance the episodes of Sopranos I watched last week have be in a Rutgers Hypnosis right now, but I will need to see a Rutgers loss to a lower tier to move them down.

I don’t know what to do with Iowa and Wisconsin. They are the top the big ten west, but what does that even mean currently?

Tied at Half With Penn St.

Is it possible to have a statement loss when it’s by 28? That felt like a statement loss from Northwestern.

Recent win will fool me about how actually good these teams are

I know deep down inside both these teams are bad, but I have the memory of a goldfish. Purdue and Minnesota both had solid bounce backs this week that are going to give me a false sense of reality around them moving forward I just know it.

“Yeah but our basketball recruiting class this year is different”

Illinois and Indiana fans have the first week of November circled on the calendar. They are basketball schools at heart its gonna be ok.At least there is something to look forward to right?

Razor Scooter to the shin

It is so so so bad. MSU is about to start a rebuild. Nebraska is working on won. It is atrocious right now, but what was the expectation? A bowl game at best? It’s hard to change so much in one offseason.

Also why was Tom Izzo in Iowa City? Not enough people are talking about that. That was weird.
