The PAC 12 as of recently had been a little bit fo laughing stock to the college football world. TV contracts have been a mess. They haven’t had a representative in the CFP since 2017. But don’t let the past trick you! The Pac-12 in 2023 will be the strongest it has been in quite some time and will be a very good conference.
The quarterback position is the main reason for the hype around the Pac-12 this season. It is going to be an impossible task to find a conference with a deeper field of quarterbacks than the Pac-12. At the top you have three instant Heisman contenders with Caleb Williams, Bo Nix, and Michael Penix Jr. All three of their teams are capable of winning the Pac-12 this year. Continuing down the list you still have strong names like Cam Rising, Dj Uiagalelei, Ben Gulbranson, Shedeur Sanders, and Jayden De Laura. You can be the 7th best QB in the Pac12 in 2023 and still probably be a top 20 QB in the country this year.
UCLA, who’s strength may not be QB, will still have a FIVE STAR recruit taking their snaps and have other strong weapons like Carson Steele.
I’m unaware of any stats on if it’s beneficial to have a guy with a pet crocodile on your team, but it can’t hurt right?
The pac12 is going to be fireworks every week this season. If any team can play consistent defense they will be every difficult for anyone to stop. If they don’t make the playoff this year it might never happen. Get your popcorn ready.
