While it feels like i’m only just starting my media career it may have already peaked this past week. This past week I travled to Nashville with WashedUpWalkons podcast to attend Tight End University. Lucky for me I work with three guys who all played with George Kittle in college. With out Walkons I was never getting this opportunity.
The last 6 months have been insane. In January I sent an email to WUW’s for an unpaid internship that they weren’t asking for. Now six months later I’m in George Kittle’s Barn. God is Great
The only other media outlets that get invited to the event were The NFL, Pardon My Take and Bussin with the Boys. So me some how mixing my way into this somehow is baffling.
TEU was like Disney Land for a football fan. Every where you looked was either a current NFL stud or a all time legend.
The tight ends are truly the best position fraternity in the league. For the most part the NFL tight end is a normal dude who just happens to be exceptionally good at football. TEU is the place where they all help each other succeed and also hit the downtown after.
While I didn’t anticipate it, I also got to meet the LEGEND Theo Von at TEU. Not only is Theo one of the nicest dudes in the world, I was glad to learn he is exactly like how he is on his podcast.
Will I ever go to anything this cool ever again? Probably not, but let’s hope so.
