Nuggets Win The West. Experts In Shambles

The Denver Nuggets have officially completed the sweep against the LA Lakers to advance to their first finals in NBA history.

And look i’m wrong a lot on sports. When you’re in the sports takes game you get things wrong. It happens. But I have NEVER, in all my days, seen what feels like the majority of people be so wrong about one team.

What is weird is that they were so wrong about a team with a great resume. You didn’t need to be Sherlock Holmes himself to figure out the Nuggets were legit the evidence has been there the entire time. The Nuggets have been number one in the west since Christmas, have a back to back (should be 3x) MVP, are the healthiest they have been in four years. Yet you still had people going on ESPN/Fox and making INSANE claims like this.

Did I expect a sweep? No. But was it that hard to believe that the Nuggets were just a good team this year?

I don’t know who runs the Freezing Cold Takes twitter account, but whoever it is has to be having a field day. Theres quite literally a clip for everything.

This does help my theory that if the Nuggets played in the earlier time slot during the regular season that Jokic would have ran away with the MVP this year. Now this theory has expanded to simply just be if the Nuggets played when half the NBA audience isn’t asleep the Nuggets would have been the betting favorite to win the finals earlier than late May.

I’m honestly ok with that reasoning as well. Sleep is important. If I lived out east and wasn’t a Denver fan I don’t know how many Nuggets game I would stay up for. I’d probably do what many did and just stick with Ole Reliable Lake Show to the finals and hope it sticks.
