Athletes who could host SNL next

Travis Kelce hosted SNL over the weekend and actually was pretty funny. Sometimes athletes don’t do amazing on SNL, but occasionally guys like Peyton Manning or Charles Barkley come in a crush it.

Travis Kelce had some great sketches including this one that somehow got cut from the main show. (Again SNL refuses to let itself succeed).

So with that being said, here are some athletes that SNL should give a call. They would all be better than sending Amy Schumer out there again.

George Kittle

If Lorne hasn’t called George yet he should. George has a feel for the theatrics being the perfect cross between an NFL player and WWE Wrestler. George has enough energy to probably do the show by himself if he wanted to. this choice is easy.

Blake Griffin

Blake probably has the best pure comedic talent on this list. He’s done stand up before and it’s not that bad. There are comedians with Netflix specials who didn’t get the laughs Blake got in this set.

He’s also apeared on the show before for a few lines, but I think he’s got more in him.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis has the unintentional comedic ability. Never trying to be super funny but everything he does is gold. He recently did Hasan Minage’s show and by was a way to nice to do the bits, but made it even funnier.

Stephen A. Smith

Ok I know Stephen A Smith isn’t a ahtelte but he would light it up and you know it. He already one of the funniest people on television without even trying. With all the times he’s been impersonated, there has got to be some great material there for a Stephen talks to Stephen sketch.
