Earlier today the NHL revealed their “reverse retro” Jerseys for the 2022-2023 season. The Avalanche have had success in the past when it comes to unveiling new jerseys. This collection of new uniforms saw a different approach than what we have seen with the Avalanche lately.
A lot of fans voiced their displeasure with these new reverse retros. Most of the complaints came in the form of living up to its successful predecessor.
I get that these ones aren’t as good as that classic look. However, these could be much worse. I like the incorporation of the Colorado flag colors, and they also still kept the design fairly simple. We can’t be the same state that talks about how great our flag is, and then when they turn it into a jersey we say it looks horrible.
Everyone wants to complain now about them, but we all know that by January everyone is going to be buying one anyway.
