Hockey is Back To Save The City of Denver

The NHL season returned this week as the first puck drop of the regular season took place Tuesday night. Although college hockey has been going on for almost two weeks now, the NHL season officially marks the begging of Hockey season. While there is never a bad time for Hockey to return, its 2022 entrance could not come at a better time for Colorado sports fans.

Perfect timing

Coming off of a summer full of joy riding the wave of a Stanley cup Victory, the mood of Denver fans this fall hasn’t exactly been positive. With a lot of anticipation coming into the Broncos’ season, Colorado sports fans have been frustrated with the product they have received on the field so far.

As the fans’ tolerance for mediocrity begins to rise, Hockey is returning to our lives at the perfect time to remind Colorado fans that they can feel happy about their teams. Like Batman being the glimmer of hope for Gotham City to be saved; The Avalanche are here to save us from the sorrow/frustration of the Broncos and give us hope for more championship runs in the future.

The Avalanche are back on the ice and are sure to be the greatest show on ice again this season. Just look at what Cale Makar was doing to his opponents within the first game of the season.

Repeating championships are tough, but the Avalanche appear to be off to another strong start to their season.

College Hockey

The University of Denver Hockey is back as well and they don’t get nearly enough love. They are coming off a National Title last year and are also set to have a big season.

DU Hockey is one of the most under-appreciated sporting events/or activities in the 303. Tickets are way underpriced to watch a team of future NHL studs crunch teams on Friday/ Saturday nights. They also have a pop-up deli as one of their vendors and it just might be the best in-stadium food I have ever had.

You are doing yourself a disservice if you don’t check out DU hockey at least once this season.
