College Football Week 4 Picks

Last Week: 4-4

On the Season: 4-4 (started tracking week 3)

College football week 4 is here. It’s not a super exciting week for football, but still some good games to be excited about. Each weekend of college football is a gift so as always I will be making picks. Shorter card this week. Bet responsibly.

Iowa State -3

As an Iowa fan, it makes me physically ill to bet on the cyclones, but in this situation, I can’t resist. An unranked team at home favored over a ranked team seems a little too obvious. Baylor hosts #9 Oklahoma State next week in a huge matchup. There is a good chance they will be overlooking the cyclones here and could easily get caught sleeping.

Texas A&M -2

Texas A&M is in the same spot they were the last week. A team higher ranked than the Aggies is coming to town, yet Texas A&M is the favorite. The Aggies are still ranked a little too low in my opinion and in contrast, the Razorbacks are a little too high. Arkansas looked really shaky last week against Missouri State and had to pull some magic last minute to get a victory. I think they’re finally going to get caught in College Station.

Wake Forrest +7

The Demon Deacons are one of the most exciting teams in college football currently. With Sam Hartman back on the field following an injury, my hopes for this team are very high. Clemson has a stellar defense, and Wake Forrest does not. However, if Wake Forrest can manage to get a few stops with some help from the crowd they will be in good shape since their offense will be able to put up points.

Oregon State +6

USC has looked incredible so far this season. This is the best team the trojans have had in a while. Many are riding high on USC heading into this game and they have every reason too. On the other side of the ball, I think it’s important to remember that Oregon State is a good team as well. This is a huge game for Oregon State and it most likely means more to the Beavers than it does to the Trojans. They would love nothing more than to beat a bunch of kids from Hollywood in an upset. Winning this game will be tough, but I think Oregon State can keep this close.

PSA: As I’m writing this blog I saw a Bleacher Report tweet saying this was the most bet on side of the weekend so bet with caution. This is the worst-case scenario. However I’m a man and won’t back down, I stand by my pick. If Oregon State gets blown out though it is 100% on the video and that video only.
