Every week football is a gift. Here are my picks for week 2. Reminder, I’m not an expert. I’m just a fan.

Saints +2.5

The Saints got away with a win they probably didn’t deserve over the Falcons. Lots of people are going to be down on the Saints in this game because of their performance. Especially after the Bucs got a comfortable win in primetime; Tampa feels like an easy pick. However, Tom Brady is 4-5 vs the Saints in his career and is overvalued after beating a bad team. Time to trust Jameis.

Cardinals +5.5

Yes, I know it’s war zone weekend. I have seen the tweets, but you know who else has. VEGAS! They have Twitter too! Cardinals are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games as underdogs. The Raiders are 20-45-1 ATS in their last 66 games as a favorite. Arizona always starts the season well and they will get back on track this Sunday.

Patriots -2

The Pats did not look good in week 1 during an ugly loss to Miami. Many will be undervaluing them this week against an overvalued steelers team. Miami is better than people think and will be beating people all season. Week one’s game was not “the Patriots are bad”, it was “Miami is good”. With the public on the Steelers and the line moving in favor of the Patriots; New England has to be the play in this game

Broncos -10

The Texans shocked NFL fans in week one by playing a very competitive game with Colts in what should have been an easy victory for Indianapolis. The following day the Broncos also shocked NFL fans but it was with an embarrassing loss to Seatle on Monday night after convincing everyone all off-season they were going to win. The story on both these teams is wrong. The Broncos were a few mistakes from beating Seattle by double digits. Indianapolis well outgained the Texans. This game will also be Russell Wilson’s first game as a Bronco at home and Mile High will be rocking. Broncos will bounce back in a big way this weekend.

Miami +3.5

Frankly, Miami is just better. The Raven’s secondary is not going to be able to handle Waddle and Hill. Baltimore could very well be overvalued after beating a broken Jets team. Miami is the only side I can play here.
